Computational Hydrology for Decision Support
The mission of the Computational Hydrology for Decision Support (CH4DS) research group is to use and develop novel tools for integrated modeling of hydrology, data analysis, data visualization, and public scientific communication in the state of Illinois and beyond. Whether we are investigating surface water-groundwater interactions, water resource conservation, or machine learning algorithms to optimize objective calibration functions when modeling, our research team is dedicated to in-depth analysis of the complex relationship between humans and their water resources.
Our research group works on applied science problems for communities in Illinois, while also cultivating fundamental scientific knowledge. We use real-world daily, seasonal, and annual datasets to solve comprehensive water resource problems across local, regional, and statewide scales.
